By the impugned order, the Director of Public Instruction declined to interfere with transfer of the petitioner from his present posting to Government General Degree College, Singur.

The petitioner is holding a teaching post under West Bengal Education Service. This writ petition is, therefore, not maintainable before this Court as a Court of first instance.

Accordingly, WPA 14392 of 2023 is dismissed.

However, this order shall not prevent the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law.
