Imam Mr. Sandip Kundu .....For the State The petitioner seeks an expeditious hearing of the case being N 177/2019 under Sections 21(C)/29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, 1985, pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 6th Court, Barasat, 24-Parganas (North).

It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that though charge has been framed in this case, till date the evidence has not started.

In this pandemic situation, it is not expected that the learned Judge in the Court below will proceed with the case at a normal pace.

However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer, I dispose of this revisional application with a direction upon the learned Judge in the Court below to make an endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. The application being CRR 1912 of 2021, is disposed of. All parties shall act upon the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
