From the report filed by the Inspector-in-Charge, Arambagh Police Station signed on 9th July, 2024, it appears that the police has registered the FIR being Arambagh P.S. Case No. 292 of 2024 dated 11th June, 2024 under Sections 341/323/325/504/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and later on added Section 326 of the Indian Penal code with the existing Sections. The FIR named accused was arrested and is currently on bail. The investigation is under progress. The police are directed to conduct the investigation strictly in accordance with law and conclude the same at the earliest.

The Inspector-in-Charge, Arambagh Police Station is directed to take necessary steps against the erring officer who did not register FIR immediately upon receiving complaint filed by the petitioner disclosing cognizable offences.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
