The Officer-in-Charge, Kolkata Leather Complex has submitted a report through the learned advocate appearing for the State which includes the statement and a declaration of Mr. Ajay Kumar Sharma at whose instance Kolkata Leather Complex P. S. Case No. 120 of 2020 dated 05.11.2020 under Sections 406/420/467/468/471/477A/380/506/120B of the Indian Penal Code was registered for investigation. The said investigation resulted in a chargesheet. Subsequently, a naraji petition was also filed by the de facto complainant. However, pursuant to that it has been contended both in the declaration as well as in the statement that amicable settlement has been arrived at by and between the parties.

Having regard to the nature of the transactions involved is private and personal in nature and no public policy is involved, the

further continuance of the aforesaid case is unwarranted. Accordingly, Kolkata Leather Complex P. S. Case No. 120 of dated 05.11.2020 under Sections 406/420/467/ 468/471/477A/380/506/120B of the Indian Penal Code is hereby quashed.

Thus, the present revisional application being CRR 2215 of 2023 along with CRAN 1 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.
