The petitioner is already receiving the family pension. The date from which the family pension has been sanctioned is alleged to be incorrect.

The benefit has been given to the petitioner on and from 20th July, 2023.

The petitioner states that she is entitled to receive the same on and from the next date of death of her father, i.e. 21.01.2022. The father of the petitioner expired on 20th January, 2022.

It appears that the Treasury Officer, Bankura has already communicated to the Director, DPPG about the mismatch of the date of death of the employee and his widow and the date of commencement of the enhanced family pension. The Director, DPPG is yet to respond to the same.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director, DPPG to make necessary connections in the PPO and issue revised PPO after verification of the records at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The arrear payment shall be disbursed in favour of the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
