Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners submit that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the instant case.

Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record disclosing prima facie involvement of the petitioners in torturing the housewife who was murdered at the matrimonial home. Keeping in mind the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioners therein and as their prayer for bail was rejected on merits in May, 2022 and as there is no change in circumstances since then, we are not inclined to grant bail to them at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected. We direct the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ananya Bandyopadhyay, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
