The father of the petitioner was a Group- 'D' Staff at Rishi Bankim Chandra College for Women, a Government aided college under West Bengal State University, he died-in-harness on August 15, 2024. The petitioner is praying compassionate appointment. It appears that the petitioner has not yet approached the authority for such appointment, therefore, the writ petition is pre-matured, W.P.A. 14312 of 2025 is dismissed as such without any order as to costs.

It is, however, made clear that this Court has not gone into the merit of the claim of the petitioner and this order will not prevent him to file a fresh application for such appointment.
