The petitioner is in custody for more than 180 days and prays for bail. She seeks parity with the co-accused who have been granted bail by this Court earlier.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. It appears that the petitioner along with co-accused have been named by the witnesses during investigation. Co-accused have been granted bail earlier. Charge sheet has been submitted. Injuries do not appear to be serious. Further detention of the petitioner is not required and she may be granted bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is allowed.

The petitioner namely Samsunnhir Bibi be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly subject to the condition that she shall appear before the learned trial Court on every date of hearing. She shall not intimidate witnesses or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever.

In the event the petitioner fails to appear before the learned trial Court on any date without justifiable cause, the learned trial Court shall be at liberty to cancel her bail in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

The application for bail is disposed of.
