Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that inspite of informing the Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhaman no action has been taken and he is being threatened for the purposes of extorting money. Learned advocate appearing for the private respondents disputes and denies the contentions advanced by the petitioner.

Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits that there are criminal antecedents of the petitioner and the present application is to for covering the misdeeds.

Be that as it may, petitioner made a representation which has not been acted upon and the said representation was made on 25th of April, 2023. If the petitioner feels insecured because of the circumstances still pursuing, petitioner is granted liberty to file a fresh representation before the Inspector-inCharge, Burdwan Police Station, Purba Bardhaman, who would take steps to ensure that there is no physical harm created on the life and property of the petitioner. However, if there are any processes pending against the petitioner the aforesaid order will not deter the police authorities for taking appropriate steps. With the aforesaid observations WPA 14474 of 2023 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to both the parties.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
