Halder, Mr. Indranil Halder, Ms. Neha Singh .... for the petitioner Mr. Kanak Kiran Bandyopadhyay .... for the WBSEDCL Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner seeks an electricity connection to operate his submersible pump which has not yet been given by the WBSEDCL.

Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL contends that the petitioner initially had filed an application which was not in appropriate format.

Accordingly, upon being intimated, the petitioner filed a proper application on May 17, 2023. Thereafter a communication has been made to the petitioner by the WBSEDCL on June 15, 2023, indicating that the application has not been filled up properly and certain documents are required to be handed over by the petitioner. A copy of the said

communication, filed today in court, be kept on record.

Accordingly, WPA No. 14487 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to deposit the documents which are required by the WBSEDCL in accordance with law within a week from date. Upon such documents as well as a properly filled up application being submitted, the WBSEDCL shall raise estimate and, upon compliance of all formalities by the petitioner, shall give the electricity connection to the petitioner.

It is expected that, in the event the petitioner files the application in proper format along with the documents within a week from date, the estimate shall be raised by the WBSEDCL within a week thereafter and the connection shall be given, if otherwise feasible, within a fortnight from the date of compliance of all formalities by the petitioner. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
