Mr. Chakraborty, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the alleged contemnors has filed a report dated 16.07.2025 as submitted by the Executive Engineer Building Department, Borough-II, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (hereinafter referred to as 'K.M.C.' in short) enclosing therewith an order dated 31.05.2025 as passed by the Special Officer (Building), K.M.C..

Though it is contended by Mr. Das, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners that while passing the said order no opportunity was given to the writ petitioners, however, it appears from the report as filed today that on 28.02.2025 the writ petitioners were present.

Such being the position, this Court finds substantial compliance on the part of the alleged contemnors in respect of the orders dated 08.10.2024 and 18.02.2025 as passed by this Court in WPA 17557 of 2024.

With the aforementioned observation, the contempt application being CPAN 1105 of 2025 is disposed of.
