1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

2. The victim is represented by Mr. Abhinab Rakshit, learned advocate, appointed by High Court Legal Services Committee.

3. Learned counsel for the State and the de-facto complainant have opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

4. Considering the materials available in the case diary, the statement of the victim directly implicating the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence and the very fact that at the time of commission of the alleged offence, the petitioner was a Sub-Inspector of Police and the present conduct of the petitioner is completely undesirable, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the same is accordingly disposed of.
