The petitioner claims that he has been illegally evicted from his property by the seventh respondent. Admittedly, the land from which the petitioner and the private respondent claim rights belongs to the State and the petitioner was in illegal occupation. Hence, no relief can, therefore, be granted to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition shall stand dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The report of the O.C. Kharagpur Local Police Station, Paschim Medinipur dated 19th July, 2022 is taken on record.
