The writ petitioner is a permanent permit holder, presently operating on the route, from Tarakeswar to Udaynarayanpur via Pursura, Dihibhursut. By dint of an application dated June 3, 2024, he has sought for variation of the route on which the vehicle is plying right now, keeping the terminal points intact. 3.

The variation sought for is as follows:- Route- "Tarkeswar to Udaynarayanpur via Chapadarga, Piasara, Gazarmore, Tarar more, Antpur, Rajbalhat, Rahimpur, Sukantapark diverted via Baligari, Bahirkhanda, Basudev pur, Haripal stn. Gazarmore, Tararmore, Jangipara, rahimpur, Sukanta park."

Mr. Sanat Kumar Ray, learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submits two fold. That, application of his client is being kept pending without consideration and that may be redressed by an order of this Court, directing the respondent authority to

consider and decide with respect to his client's application dated June 3, 2024.

He has further referred to the fact that as per the statutory provision the writ petitioner, as the permit holder, is entitled to seek variation of the route keeping the two terminal points intact.

He says that the writ petitioner has complied with the statutory provision in making his application dated June 3, 2024 and thus, he is entitled under law, for an appropriate order by the respondent authority.

Mr. Ayan Ray, learned counsel is appearing through video conference for the State respondent.

Let this writ petition being disposed of with the following directions:- (i).

The Regional Transport Authority, Hooghly/respondent no. 2 shall consider and dispose of the writ petitioner's prayer vide letter dated June 3, 2024 by dint of a reasoned order and within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order.

(ii). The order of the respondent no. 2 as above shall be informed to the writ petitioner within one week thereafter.

Since no affidavits are called for, allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

10. This writ petition being WPA No. 15446 of 2024 is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
