1. In a public interest litigation which was dismissed by order dated 4th July, 2024, the petitioner has now filed this application seeking liberty to the applicants/writ petitioners to approach the appropriate forum. As rightly pointed out by the learned counsel appearing for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation that no such liberty can be granted in public interest litigation. However, it is needless to observe that if any legal remedy is available to a person, there can be no bar for availing such legal remedy. In other words, it will be always open to the applicants/writ petitioners to work out his remedy in accordance with law.

2. For the aforesaid reasons, the application is dismissed.
