Mr. Amit Pan Ms. Tanusri Santra .... For the Petitioners Mr. Ansar Mondal Mr. S. Mitra .... For the State The petitioners complain that their land was acquired by the State authorities and compensation was declared.

But such compensation has not been paid to the petitioners till date. The petitioners filed two separate applications ventilating their grievance before the authorities on 6th July, 2020.

Several dates for hearing of the applications were fixed by the authorities, but the said applications are still pending and no compensation has been granted to the petitioners till date. The petitioners pray for expeditious disposal the said applications and grant of compensation in their favour. It is further submitted on

behalf of the petitioners that the first petitioner is suffering from terminal disease and is undergoing dialysis.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the respondent No. 3 to consider and dispose of the applications filed by the petitioners on 6th July, 2020 after giving reasonable opportunity hearing to all the affected parties including the petitioners within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with law.

In case the petitioners are entitled to compensation as decided upon by the respondent No. 3, such compensation shall be disbursed to the petitioners within a week after disposal of the above application.

W.P.A. 15330 of 2021 is thus disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance requisite formalities.
