Ms. Ayantika Roy ...... for the State Petitioner is in custody for 419 days. It is submitted that his name did not transpire during medical treatment of the victim. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C as well as medical papers disclose the involvement of the petitioner in the crime. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
