The petitioner is in custody for about 200 days and prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The petitioner appears to be a member of one of the two rival gangs which were involved in a free fight to establish dominion over a particular area. The petitioner has been implicated by the victim as well as an eye witness. There are three criminal antecedents to the credit of the petitioner.

Considering the nature of the offence and prima facie role of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
