When the matter was called on for hearing on August 4, 2022, none appeared for the petitioner, although the WBSEDCL was represented through counsel.

The same set of appearances is repeated today. Upon query of the Court, learned counsel for the WBSEDCL submits that no copy of the writ petition, pursuant to the order dated August 4, 2022, has been served on learned counsel in the meantime.

Since it transpires that the petitioner is no longer interested in proceeding with the matter, WPA 14752 of 2022 is dismissed for default without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
