The petitioners and the private respondents are claiming to be in possession and are entitled to certain lands belonging to one Kamala Kanta Mahapatra the original patta holder. The writ petitioners as well as the private respondents claim to be either lessees or the persons in possession with the authority of the patta holder.

There are proceedings being Patta Annulment Case Nos. 29/20, 30/20 and 31 of 20 now pending before the learned SEDM, Egra. Proceedings under Section 107 of the Cr. P. C. have also been drawn up in respect of the subject land by the Egra Police Station.

The report of the Egra Police Station dated 23.01.2023 is taken on record.

This Court is of the view that the petitioners, the private respondents and Mr. Subir Sanyal's client in CAN 1 of 2021 may sort out their civil disputes and rights in

respect of the subject property before an appropriate civil or statutory forum.

The Inspector-in-Charge, Egra Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area. The writ petition is disposed of.

In view of disposal of the main writ petition, connection application being CAN 1 of 2021 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
