The petitioner applied for new connection. The petitioner's prayer was turned down by the CESC authority, inter alia, stating that such connection could not be permitted by the Regulation 2014 of the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recovery of Expenditure for Providing New Connections) Regulations, 2013. The dispute is with regard to splitting of load. This matter has to be decided by the Grievance Redressal Officer. The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Grievance Redressal Officer, Southern District, South Regional Office, the respondent no.3 herein, within 10 days from date. If such approach is made, the authority shall dispose of the matter upon hearing the petitioner and the CESC limited within two months from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.
