It is submitted by Mr. Chaturvedi that as the Sub-Divisional Officer, Malda Sadar, District Malda, by an order dated September 22, 2021 has passed an order to the effect that the petitioner not being an office bearer, the proceeding under Section 213B of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 does not call for his suspension, the writ petition has now become infructuous.

The writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. The authorities may act and proceed in accordance with law.

A copy of the order is taken on record.

This Court has not gone into the merits of the claims and the counterclaims of the parties.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
