1. The petitioner is aggrieved that despite directions of a Single Bench of this Court in the case of Nadia District Primary School Council & Anr. Vs. State of West Bengal & Ors. reported in (2007) 1 CLJ (Cal) 346 (the Nadia case), the District Employment Exchange, Nadia has sponsored 35 persons against one vacancy.

2. This Court had in the Nadia case (supra) directed the employment officer to sponsor only 10 names against one vacancy. There is clear violation in the decision referred to hereinabove.

3. No relief can, however, be granted to the petitioner as the writ petition may have become infructuous by efflux of time.

4. Presently, the employment exchanges are not required to sponsor names for any recruitment processes conducted by the WBBPE as the same is done in terms of a new statute of the year 2016.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
