West Bengal Information Commission and others Mr. Avinaba Patra, Mr. Dipayan Kundu .... for the petitioner Mr. Raja Saha, Ms. Arpita Saha, Mr. Sanjay Mukherjee .... for the respondent no. 1 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner appeared for a Group-D examination in the Judgeship of Murshidabad. Subsequently, certain relevant informations, according to the petitioner, were sought by the petitioner. In view of a part of the said information being refused by the first forum, the petitioner preferred a first appeal, which was also dismissed on merits. Against the same, the petitioner took out a second appeal before the appropriate authority which has been kept pending.

Despite service, none appears for the respondent nos. 2 to 4 at the time of call, although the respondent no.1 is represented through counsel. Learned counsel for the respondent no. 1, for the sake of information, indicates that the application

of the petitioner was filed only in the month of May this year, that is, the last month, and that the second appellate authority was defunct due to lack of Presiding Officer for about a year. However, it is submitted that the pending matters are being taken up serially and an endeavour is being made to dispose of the same as early as possible. Since the second appeal has been preferred by the petitioner only in the month of May last, any time-bound direction in the present writ petition shall be rather premature. However, WPA No. 14553 of 2023 is disposed of with the expectation that the second appellate authority shall decide the pending second appeal of the petitioner as expeditiously as the business of the said forum permits, preferably within three months from date.

There will be no order as to costs.
