Alleged contemnor nos. 3 and 4 are present before this Court and apologize for the delay in complying with the order of the Court.

The affidavit of compliance is taken on record. From the affidavit of compliance, it appears that the exercise to be undertaken by the gram panchayat is complete and having found that part of the building is unauthorized, the matter has been referred to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jhargram for necessary steps, in accordance with Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973.

Accordingly, the contempt proceedings are dropped and the Rule is discharged.

Contempt application is disposed of.

Needless to mention, the Court expects that the SubDivisional Officer, Jhargram shall do the needful in accordance with law.
