Despite service of notice respondents are not represented.

The petitioners complain that the private respondents are preventing ingress and egress into their land and have constructed a wall thereat. A complaint has been lodged with the Uluberia Police Station, which has not been addressed.

This Court notices that the disputes between the parties are primarily civil in nature. However, the Officer-in-Charge, Uluberia Police Station shall cause necessary enquiry and, if it is found that the private respondents have constructed a wall on the land of the petitioners, appropriate steps shall be taken to ensure that the petitioners have free ingress and egress to their land.

However, if the police cannot resolve the disputes as regards the right to construct a wall, the parties may agitate their grievances before an appropriate civil forum.

Uluberia Police, however, shall ensure that there is no breach of peace at all in the area. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
