Mr. Aniket Mitra ... for the State Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for 80 days. They are the parents-in-law of the victim housewife. It is also submitted that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the instant case. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses as well as other contemporaneous documents viz. post mortem report show physical torture on the pregnant housewife who suffered unnatural death.

Keeping in mind the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioners therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to them at this stage.
