The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Begg, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the case was registered in the year 2021 and the investigating agency on conclusion of investigation submitted chargesheet in connection with Jadavpur PS Case No.149 of 2021 dated 21.04.2021 under Sections 120B/420/406 IPC. It has been informed that the next date has been fixed on 5th October, 2023 for supply of copies.

Having considered the fact, I am of the view that the learned ACJM, Alipore would ensure regarding the supply

of copies on the next date fixed or within a fortnight thereafter.

Learned trial court would either retain the proceedings or delegate to the jurisdictional Judicial Magistrate for the subsequent stages which would include the stages of consideration of inquiry, trial and disposal. Charges, if any, be framed at the earliest when the concerned court would fix date for trial at least once in every 2 months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2257 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
