A.G.P., Mr. Sougata Mitra ...for the State The Officer-in-Charge, Lake Town Police Station has filed a report in the form of instructions addressed to the learned Government Pleader along with certain documents, which are taken on record. It appears that the police after receiving complaint from the petitioner, apprehended the driver, Shyam Sundar Shaw and upon enquiry it was found that he had pressed the calling bell of the resident of the petitioner by mistake. The said Shyam Sundar Shaw is a driver sponsored by a local driving school to drive vehicle of a neighbour of the petitioner.

This Court therefore sees no inaction on the part of the police.

Hence, the writ petition is disposed of without any order.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
