Leave is granted to make necessary correction in the cause title. This is an application for expeditious disposal of ACGR - 6033/2019 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alipore arising out of Purba Jadavpur Police Station Case No.119 of 2019 dated 17th December, 2019 under Sections 120B/420/406/467/468/469/471 of the Indian Penal Code.

Only contention of the petitioner is that though charge-sheet was filed in connection with the above mentioned case on 14th December, 2021, no step has been taken by the Trial Court for commencement of the trial of the case.

On perusal of the instant application and other materials on record, this Court is of the view that the instant application can be disposed of with the assistance of the learned Public Prosecutor, High Court, Calcutta here and now. Therefore, Mr. Ranabir Roychowdhury, learned Public Prosecutor-in-Charge is requested to assist this Court in the instant matter. Appointment of Mr. Roychowdhury be regularized by the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal.

The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the application to Mr.Roychowdhury.

I have heard Mr. Arindam Sen, learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Roychowdhury, learned Public Prosecutor-inCharge. It's matter of record that more than 10 months have elapsed from the date of filing of the charge-sheet against the petitioner in the above-mentioned case in the Court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore but till date even charge has not been framed.

Under such circumstances, the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore is requested to frame charge against the petitioner positively on the next date of hearing and shall carry on the trial of the case expeditiously.

With the above direction, the instant revision is disposed of . The parties shall on the server copy of the order. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.) Item No.5.
