For the Petitioners Though the petitioners have initially prayed for quashing of Session Case no. 9(7) of 2017 arising out of Bishnupur Police Station case no. 603(7) of 2012 dated 26th July, 2012 pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 7th Court at Alipore, 24 Parganas, South, the petitioners, at present, pray for expeditious disposal of the case.

The petitioners are the members of matrimonial family of the deceased Supriti Mondal who was married to one Indranil Mukherjee. Both Supriti Mondal and Indranil Mukherjee have expired. Though charge-sheet has been submitted on 25th September, 2013, framing of charge is yet to be considered by the learned trial Court. Learned trial Court has fixed 12th July, 2024 for appearance and death report in respect of the accused Indranil Mukherjee. Placing reliance on a reply to an application made by the petitioners under the Right to Information Act, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the person who

registered the marriage of the couple was not entitled to do so and as such, there was no valid marriage between them.

As the matter is pending since long, the learned trial Court is directed to fix the date for consideration of charge within one month from the next date fixed before him. If the learned trial Court frames charge against the petitioners, learned Court is directed dispose of the case being Sessions Case no. 9(7) of 2017 within one year from the date of consideration of charge.

C.R.R. 2373 of 2024 is disposed of.
