The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Anwar Hossain, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the State.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr. Anwar Hossain, learned Advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State, is directed to appear in this matter and represent the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned authority.

The petitioner has expressed his anxiousness as there is no progress in the trial Court of this instant case in spite of charge framed on 22.03.2022 and the petitioner being in custody since 28th November, 2019. I find substantial force in the contention of the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner. The copy of the charge sheet has been annexed along with the present application, which reflects that there are

11 witnesses in the charge-sheet. All of whom belong to the Government departments.

The order dated 16th of May, 2022 reflects that the learned Special Court has been pleased to fix date on 1st September, 2022 and 2nd September, 2022 for evidence. Learned Special Court is directed in case, evidence do not progress, the learned Trial Court would fix a schedule consisting of three dates and such schedule must be fixed each and every month on and from November, 2022. All efforts must be taken for completing the trial within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment shall be granted to either of the parties.

The Public Prosecutor, representing the State before the Trial Court must assure the Court regarding the steps taken for production of the witnesses on the relevant date to be fixed by the learned Trial Court.

With the above observations, CRR 2394 of 2022 is, thus, disposed of.
