Perused the affidavit of compliance filed by the contemnors. It appears that the order of self demolition has been passed and the person responsible for making unauthorized construction has been directed to demolish the unauthorized portions mentioned in the order of demolition within fifteen days from the date of receipt of the order failing which the Corporation shall take appropriate action.

The said order was passed on 3rd July, 2024.

The time period for executing self demolition has

expired. The unauthorized construction is yet to be demolished.

Howrah Municipal Corporation is directed to take necessary consequential steps to act in furtherance of the order of demolition which was passed and ensure that the unauthorized construction is completely demolished.

The contempt application stands thus disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
