The petitioner retired from service on January 31, 2024. He is aggrieved as he has not been paid his terminal dues allegedly on account of improper fixation of his scale of pay.

It appears that the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Dakshin Dinajpur has forwarded to the Commissioner of School Education a note on October 24, 2024 and a reply to the same was made from the Deputy Director of School Education to the District Inspector of Schools on February 12, 2025. In this regard the school made further communication to the District Inspector of Schools on February 24, 2025. Despite repeated communications made by and between the parties, the pension file of the petitioner has not been made ready till date.

As it appears that the petitioner retired more than two years back, it is high time that the terminal dues of the petitioner are released at the earliest. 4.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the District Inspector

of Schools (Secondary Education), Dakshin Dinajpur to take prompt necessary steps to ensure that the pension file of the petitioner is made ready after meeting with all the objections raised by the Deputy Director of Accounts and the same is forwarded to the DPPG for issuance of the Pension Payment Order in favour of the petitioner.

The respondent authorities shall ensure that the terminal dues of the petitioner are positively released by May 29, 2026. All parties, including the petitioner, are directed to cooperate for the purpose of compliance of the direction passed hereinabove.
