Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits a report which reflects that the petitioner was earlier working on daily wage basis at Kanpur Water Supply Scheme, PHE Dte. Zone-IV, Pump House No.2, Purba Medinipur under Midnapore Mechanical Division, PHE

Department.

Learned advocate for the respondent nos. 12 to 24 submits that the BDO has published list of operators where a particular individual has been assigned the duty.

Having regard to the fact that the nature of the dispute which has been canvassed relates to employment where the police authorities have no role to exercise regarding who would discharge the duty as a Pump Operator, I am of the opinion that this Court lacks the jurisdiction to determine the nature of the issues canvassed in the writ petition.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 14502 of 2025 is Dismissed.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. Copies of the report be handed over to both the parties.
