We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected on merits in March, 2023. Trial Judge was directed to conclude the trial preferably within one month. It is not the case of the petitioner that trial is proceeding slowly. He contends that his wife is seriously ill and has been treated in a hospital in Manipur. He may be enlarged on interim bail in order to arrange for better treatment of his wife.

We have examined the medical papers in support of such plea. We are not satisfied that the condition of the petitioner's wife is so grave that the petitioner needs to be released on interim bail for her medical treatment.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Needless to mention trial court may proceed with the matter with utmost expedition and conclude the same at an early date. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
