This is an application for compassionate appointment.

The petitioner's father was a headmaster of a primary school who expired in the year 2009 when the petitioner was 16 years of age. The petitioner has filed the application for compassionate appointment in the year 2022 which is annexed at page 16 of the writ application.

The petitioner was a minor when his father expired and at that point of time he was 16 years old. He attained majority in 2011. Therefore, for almost 11 years from 2011 he did not take any step.

The reason behind compassionate appointment is giving the family members the opportunity to tie over the crisis after the sudden death of the earning member

of the family. But here there is no question of tying over the immediate crisis as appears from the application of the petitioner which was made after 11 years from the date of attainment of his majority.

Therefore, I do not find any merit in this writ application and the application is dismissed. (Abhijit Gangopadhyay, J.)
