Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty, Mr. S. S. Saha, Mr. Wasim Laskar ......for the Defacto complainant. The petitioner prays for bail. He says that he is in custody for about 257 days. He says that he had no intention of causing any grievous harm to the victim.

We have seen the material on record. The charge is of murder. There is at least one eyewitness. Charge is going to be framed very soon and trial is likely to commence thereupon. Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and the possible extent of complicity of the petitioner therein, as also the incriminating material on record, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

The prayer for bail stands rejected.

CRM (DB) 2515 of 2023 is dismissed.
