This writ petition has been filed alleging that the petitioner had sought for certain informations in terms of the provisions laid down under the Right to Information Act, 2005. The relevant authority failed to provide such informations.

He made representations dated March 9, 2022 and May 12, 2022, part of Annexure P-3 and Annexure P-4 to the writ petition.

Despite receipt of the representation, the relevant jurisdictional appellate authority under the Right to Information Act, 2005 has not taken any step thereunder.

The Secretary being the jurisdictional and relevant Appellate Authority under the Right to Information Act, 2005 is directed to come to a reasonable finding by way of a reasoned order upon the representation dated May 12, 2022, Annexure P-4

to the writ petition after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and then to pass a reasoned order in accordance with law.

The entire exercise as directed above shall be carried out by the Secretary and the Appellate Authority under the Right to Information Act, 2005 within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order and then to communicate his reasoned order to the petitioner within a further period of two weeks from the date of the said reasoned order to be passed.

On the above terms, this writ petition being WPA 14913 of 2022 stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
