The petitioner renews his prayer for bail which was rejected earlier on August 22, 2023, on merits. The petitioner says that he is in custody for 1 year 2 months. He says that only one out of twelve witnesses has been examined. It is anybody's guess when the trial will conclude. On the ground of delay in trial, he should be enlarged on bail.

We find prima facie sufficient incriminating evidence against the petitioner. The victim sustained serious injuries on a vital part of the body. Since there is no change in situation after the earlier rejection of the petitioner's bail prayer excepting that about a year has elapsed, we do not entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail.

The application for bail being CRM (DB) 1932 of 2024 is, thus, dismissed.

However, we direct the learned trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and to conclude the Signed By :

same as early as possible, if necessary, by fixing frequent schedules of 2-3 days for examination of witness.
