Mr. Dipankar Paramanick ...... for the State Petitioner is in custody since May, 2019. It is submitted that there is no direct evidence connecting the petitioner with the crime. Learned lawyer for the State submits that the petitioner had love affair with the deceased and was last seen with her. Incriminating articles were also recovered from his possession. Delay in the proceeding was due to further investigation and supplementary charge sheet was filed in December, 2020. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had a love affair with the victim and was last seen with her before her death. Incriminating articles were recovered on the leading statements of the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid facts and the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is thus rejected.
