Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than eight years and prays for bail. Learned counsel for the State submits that the date has been fixed before the learned trial Court for examination of the accused under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In view of the fact that the trial is at its fag end and is likely to conclude soon and also in view of the material on record, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned trial Court is directed to take the proceedings to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. The application for bail is disposed of.
