Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that after registration of Raghunathganj Police Station Case No. 742 of 2025 dated 09.06.2025, no steps have been taken by the police authorities and the investigation has not progressed. Further, there has been no arrest, no witness statement being recorded under Section 183 of BNSS and no forensic collection of evidence being done by the investigating agency.

State has submitted a report which reflects that on 10.06.2025, two FIR named persons viz. Asgar Sk @ Haru Sk and Tanjil Sk were arrested. They were taken into police custody. Subsequent to the statement of the custody accused, another accused viz. Md. Amanat Sk was arrested. There were recoveries in respect of certain offending weapons. The investigation of the case is in progress. Post mortem report has already been collected. Statements have been recorded under Section 183 of BNSS. Materials have been sent for

assessment by the forensic science laboratory. Further, for ascertainment and tracing out rest of the accused persons, CDR, SDR, CAF and Tower Location of the mobiles have been placed before the concerned service providers for furnishing information.

Having considered that steps are being taken by the investigating officer of the case, at this stage I do not intend to interfere with the process of investigation. However, the Additional S.P./SDPO in-charge of Raghunathganj Police Station, Jangipur Police District would monitor the investigation of the case so that none of the suspects or offenders goes scot-free.

After the period of ninety days is over, in case the investigation of the case is not complete, the progress of the investigation be informed to the de facto complainant of the case. In case the de facto complainant at that stage after receiving the issues relating to progress of investigation is dissatisfied, he would take out an application before the jurisdictional court. The jurisdictional court would assess the circumstances and thereafter pass necessary directions as it deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 14655 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
