1. The petitioner alleges that the private respondents are running poultry farm without maintaining the pollution norms.

2. A communication made by the Senior Scientist and in-charge, Public Grievance Cell dated 21st March, 2023 addressed to the Block Development Officer, Jangipara Development Block with a request to examine the complaint has been annexed to the writ petition.

3. None represents the State respondents.

4. Learned advocate representing the Pollution Control Board is directed to take necessary instruction.

5. The competent officer of the Pollution Control Board and the Block Development Officer are directed to cause a joint spot inspection upon prior notice to the petitioners and the private respondent and all other necessary parties to ascertain as to whether the poultry farm is being run in accordance with the law or not.

6. Let report of the spot inspection be placed before this Court on the adjourned date.

7. List the matter on 7th May, 2025.

8. If it is found that the business is being run contrary to the provision of law, then necessary remedial steps shall be taken forthwith.

9. Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to communicate the order to the non-appearing respondents.
