The petitioners seek bail on the ground that they are in custody for about 37 days and no recovery has been made from them.

Learned counsel for the prosecution produces Case Diary and submits that three separate cases were registered against the petitioners and recovery has been made from them in the other two cases. The seized ornaments have also been identified by the defacto complainant of the other cases.

I have considered the material on record. The petitioners are in custody for 37 days. No recovery has been made from the petitioners in the present case. Investigation Signed By :

of the case has proceeded to a considerable extent. Further detention of the accused/petitioners is not required for the purpose of custodial interrogation.

Accordingly prayer for bail is allowed The petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katwa, Purba Bardhaman subject to condition that the 1st petitioner, Ranjit Halder, shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a week till the submission of charge sheet and petitioners shall not intimidate witnesses or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever. The Case Diary is returned.

The application for bail, being CRM (SB) 81 of 2024, is, thus, disposed of.
