Sumana Das versus The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. Petitioner being aggrieved by the progress of cases which were initiated at Bhagwanpur Police Station approached this Court.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Bhupatinagar P.S. Case No. 29 of 2019 dated 05.03.2019 was registered for investigation under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act wherein after completion of investigation, charge-sheet was submitted. Again a specific case being Bhagwanpur P.S. Case No. 149 of 2024 dated 16.06.2024 was registered for investigation and necessary steps have been taken by the police authorities at the relevant point of time.

Having considered that last of the representation was on June, 2024, in case the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional court which is in seisin of Bhagwanpur P.S. Case No. 149 of 2024. Learned

Magistrate would pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 15763 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
