Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vulnerable witnesses have been examined. Further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the prosecution proposes to examine 8 more witnesses which may require another year to be completed. The petitioner has been implicated by the witnesses. Trial has proceeded at a satisfactory pace.

Considering the material on record and alleged involvement of the petitioner in the offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of

the parties in the light of the submission made on behalf of the State.

The application for bail is disposed of.
