Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. Petitioner and the private respondent no.5 had a matrimonial dispute. To that effect, there were criminal cases. The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of information furnished with the police authorities being Haripal Police Station, no steps were taken by the police authorities.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Haripal Police Station Case No. 559 of 2024 dated 16.09.2024 was registered for investigation against the private respondents.

Having considered the time period which has passed, I direct that in case the investigation has not been concluded, police authorities would take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. In the alternative, if the police authorities have concluded the investigation and the petitioner is dissatisfied with the outcome of the investigation, he would be at liberty to take steps in accordance with law before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 15772 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
