1. The petitioners are residing in the same premises i.e., Naba Mahajati Road, Nalta Guha Para, P.S. Dumdum, Kolkata-700028.
They have three separate meters.
2. Krishanu Ghosh's meter was disconnected on the ground of tampering.
After disconnection, Krishanu obtained supply from the meters of other relatives in the same premises. Consequently the meters of Tapati Ghosh and Jhuma Dutta @ Nandita Dutta were also disconnected for unauthorised supply to Krishanu Ghosh.
3. Provisional assessment orders have been issued in respect of all three meters and final assessment has also occurred in respect of two meters on 29.04.2024.
4. Final assessment hearing in so far as Tapati
Ghosh is fixed on 28th June, 2024.
5. Petitioner Tapati Ghosh may participate in the final hearing on 28th June, 2024.
6. For the said purpose the provisional assessment and notice of disconnection shall be supplied to Dr. Saha Roy, learned counsel appearing for the CESC and to the learned counsel for the writ petitioners in course of the day by e-mail or whatsapp.
7. The petitioners shall file an appeal within a period of fifteen days in the case of Jhuma Dutta and Krishanu Ghosh against their final assessment.
8. Needless to mention, all steps taken in respect of the proceedings against the writ petitioners shall be strictly in terms of the Electricity Act, and the Rules framed thereunder.
9. The petitioners shall be entitled to apply for reconnection in terms of the applicable rules. 10.
With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
