The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Ganguly, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the petitioner is in custody for more than a year and although charge-sheet has been submitted but till date charge has not been framed and for one reason or the other the consideration of charges are being postponed.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that trial of 11 prosecution witnesses who have been cited in support of the case should conclude within a considerable period of time.

According to the learned advocate, next date i.e. 21st August, 2023 is fixed before the learned special court. In view of anxiety expressed by the petitioner, I direct that the charge be framed on 21st August, 2023 or within a fortnight thereafter.

Learned trial court will thereafter proceed with the trial by fixing a regular schedule and date as the learned court deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2308 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
